Development Database Administrator
 
Maintain the Development and Testing of databases by identifying and solving database requirements of supporting users.
 
Responsibilities
 
  • Provides Development, Administration, and Testing of Servers
  • Monitors and troubleshoot deadlocks, performance, and resource issues on database servers
  • Refreshes Development and Testing databases from production backup
  • Maintains and executes data scrubbing scripts to remove live/sensitive data from Development and Testing databases
  • Runs schema and data comparisons
  • Prepares deployment and rollback scripts
  • Creates unit tests
  • Participates in code reviews
  • Develops, tests, and deploys database objects including but not limited to stored procedures, functions, SSIS packages, for applications, Business Intelligence, and maintenance
  • Performance tunes queries and offers expertise to application and Business Intelligence developers
  • Offers consulting on architecture and data models
  • Creates and manages schema documentation and other technical artifacts related to development
 
Qualifications
 
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science - preferred
  • 5+ five years of Database Development and Database Administration with SQL Server- Required
  • Team player with good communications and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical and design skills
  • Aware of business issues as they impact overall project plans
  • Experience using change management processes
